Estudio de consumo de alcohol y marihuana en adolescentes en la ciudad de Córdoba-Argentina utilizando el cuestionario CRAFFT

Introduction: The consumption of alcohol, marijuana and psychotropic drugs in adolescents is a growing problem that begins during adolescence and spread to different substances which are potentially dangerous for the state of physical health of the developing young person and become a situation of abuse.The objective of the study is to describe the consumption of alcohol and marijuana in a sample of adolescents in the city of Córdoba using the CRAFFT questionnaire.
Method: A descriptive, observational, prospective study was carried out that included adolescents of both sexes, older than 15 years who were in the 5th or 6th year of secondary schools who completed the self-administered questionnaire.
Results: 959 persons answered the questionnaire, predominantly female, with a mean age of 16,8 years. 84 % of those had consumed alcohol more than a few sips in the last year and 23 % marijuana.Conclusion: .807 adolescents with alcohol consumption were identified. 52% of those surveyed had been in a vehicle driven under the influence of alcohol. A directly proportional relationship was found between increasing age and alcohol consumption.
